Anathema announces their first studio album of new material since 2003 (A Natural Disaster-a gem if you haven’t heard it). Mixed by Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson, We’re here because we’re here represents the continuing maturation of Anathema as a progressive rock band.

Anathema began their career as a “doom metal” band and have, over the years and through several lineup changes, become a band in the vein of Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, and the milder side of Opeth. Strong writing, solid production, and a “leak” of four songs over the past few months promise a strong outing that could take this (relatively) little known band very far.
